Shrimad bhagwat katha is a seven days path devoted to lord Krishna. This katha contains knowledge about the life of lord Krishna. Written by Rishi Vyasadeva, the book consists of eighteen thousand verses, which are presented, in twelve cantos associated with Bhagwat Mahapurana.

On the last judgement day of katha, a yagya  is performed that marks the end of this auspicious sacred scripture. This yagya is believed to bring grah shanti and the katha blesses the devoteed with the blessings of lord Vishnu.
